Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
• Communicate clearly with the care team and contribute to care planning
• Document patient care and observations in a timely and professional manner
• Support patients and families with empathy and dignity during their stay

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification or state-recognized equivalent (Pennsylvania preferred or ability to obtain)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Prior experience as a CNA is a plus, but compassionate new graduates are welcome
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and active certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and patient care techniques
• Proficiency taking vital signs and documenting findings
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
• Basic patient lifting and transfer skills with safe body mechanics
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Comfortable with electronic documentation or charting systems
