Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing, and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote resident independence
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and observations
• Follow infection prevention protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
• Offer emotional support and respectful communication to residents and families

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (completion of an accredited CNA program)
• Valid CNA credentials as required by state regulations
• Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Demonstrated reliability and ability to work night shifts as scheduled
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED often preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Competent with taking and charting vital signs and observations
• Knowledge of infection control and resident safety practices
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes to nursing staff
• Good interpersonal skills and patience working with older adults
