Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care with dignity and respect
• Support safe transfers and positioning to reduce risk of injury
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and observations
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth patient care transitions

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Previous CNA experience preferred but new graduates are welcome
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Reliable transportation to the Gettysburg Center

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and hygiene practices
• Taking and recording vital signs reliably
• Safe patient transfer and positioning techniques
• Infection control and universal precautions
• Time management and prioritization on a busy unit
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
• Comfort working with electronic charting or documentation systems
