Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and patient positioning
• Support infection prevention practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly during handoffs
• Respond calmly and professionally to patient needs during night hours
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings (e.g., TB, immunizations)
• Comfort working overnight shifts and providing hands-on patient care
• Reliable, compassionate, and attentive to patient safety
• Basic documentation skills and comfort with electronic or paper charting
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in providing ADL assistance (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Understanding of infection control and patient safety practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills during shift handoffs
• Ability to prioritize tasks during busy night-shift periods
• Basic mobility assistance and safe patient handling techniques
