Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered bedside care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) while preserving dignity
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate with the care team
• Follow infection control standards and facility policies to keep everyone safe
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families through clear, kind communication

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Pennsylvania) in good standing
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfort and experience working overnight shifts and handling patient care tasks
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
• Background check and any facility-required health screenings/clearances

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Successful completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Competent with taking and documenting vital signs and input/output
• Knowledge of basic infection prevention and safety protocols
• Ability to observe, report, and escalate changes in patient condition
• Team-oriented mindset with reliable time management and attention to detail
• Respectful, empathetic communication with patients, families, and staff
