Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with compassion and respect
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any concerns promptly
• Support safe and comfortable transfers and mobility for patients
• Provide timely personal care while maintaining patient dignity and privacy
• Document care and observations clearly in the patient record
• Communicate effectively with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to support coordinated care
• Maintain infection control standards and adhere to facility safety protocols
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families to enhance the care experience

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (preferred or ability to obtain)
• Previous experience as a CNA or comparable caregiving role preferred
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow facility policies and procedures

Education

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care tasks
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs
• Familiarity with basic infection control and safety practices
• Patient-focused communication and bedside manner
• Ability to follow care plans and report changes promptly
• Teamwork, time management, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
