Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care during the overnight shift
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Monitor and record vital signs and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility with proper body mechanics
• Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable bedside environments
• Document care accurately and timely in the facility charting system
• Collaborate with nurses and allied staff to deliver person-centered care
• Respect patient dignity and promote a calm, reassuring night routine

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in Pennsylvania (required)
• Current CPR / BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Minimum patient-care experience preferred; new CNAs encouraged to apply
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Dependable night-shift availability and strong teamwork skills
• Comfort with basic electronic charting and following care plans

Education

• CNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care, hygiene assistance, and safe patient handling
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs and intake/output
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Strong communication and bedside manner with patients and families
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks on a busy overnight unit
• Collaborative approach to working with nurses and interdisciplinary teams
