Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
• Support meal service and document intake as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Communicate respectfully and clearly with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Follow infection control procedures and facility policies to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state of Pennsylvania preferred)
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Comfortable working overnight hours and performing physical tasks (lifting, transferring)
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered attitude
• Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, or inpatient experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental patient care skills (ADLs, vital signs, basic hygiene)
• Understanding of infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Basic charting and documentation practices
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
• Teamwork and time management in a fast-paced clinical setting
