Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting while promoting dignity and independence
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility according to care plans
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team and families
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable and safe environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Pennsylvania certification preferred)
• Active state registry status and ability to provide proof of certification
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing or acute care preferred
• Basic infection control knowledge and ability to follow facility policies
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and ADL support
• Accurate vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Clear, timely documentation and care reporting
• Teamwork, reliability and strong interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with infection prevention and resident rights
