Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages
• Perform rapid triage and clinical assessment to prioritize care
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and urgent interventions accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate care
• Respond calmly and effectively to trauma and critical situations
• Document patient care clearly and promptly in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and next steps

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Emergency Department or trauma experience preferred; per-diem candidates welcome
• Current immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Ability to work overnight shifts and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• IV insertion, medication administration, and wound care
• Familiarity with EHR documentation and clinical workflows
• Basic ECG recognition and monitoring skills
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management abilities
• Comfort managing multiple high-acuity patients under pressure
