Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced ER
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other clinicians to coordinate care
• Respond to emergencies and stabilize patients using evidence-based practice
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and next steps
• Maintain clear, timely electronic documentation and handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or compact RN license where applicable)
• Emergency department experience preferred; adaptable clinicians encouraged to apply
• Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently on per-diem assignments and integrate with established teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred where possible

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in emergency assessment, triage, and rapid decision-making
• Skilled with IV insertion, medication administration, and wound care
• Comfortable managing cardiac monitoring and basic life support interventions
• Effective communicator with multidisciplinary teams and patients' families
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and thorough documentation practices
• Calm under pressure and able to prioritize competing urgent needs
