Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients using the nursing process and prioritize care based on clinical need
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved policies and state practice acts
• Document patient care accurately and timely to meet standards of care
• Develop, initiate, and evaluate individualized patient plans of care in collaboration with physicians and the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support the patient’s longitudinal care
• Participate in department performance improvement activities and shared governance
• Provide clinical guidance and escalate patient safety concerns through the appropriate chain of command
• Engage in peer review and contribute to unit practice improvements

Qualifications

• Active WI RN license required
• Current BLS required
• ACLS required
• PALS required
• NIHSS certification required
• TNCC or TNS required (one of the two)
• Education verification and current flu vaccination required
• Experience working in Emergency Room nursing is required (position seeks an experienced ER RN)
