Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients using a thorough nursing process to create individualized, safe care plans
• Administer medications and treatments in line with hospital policy and state practice acts
• Document patient care and progress clearly and accurately according to standards
• Develop and implement patient and family education to support recovery and self-care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance
• Provide clinical guidance and support across units to maintain continuity of care
• Apply critical thinking to escalate safety concerns and optimize patient experience

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• CPR/BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required
• Education verification required
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and providing every-other-weekend and holiday coverage
• Willingness to float to other units as needed
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
