Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care as a Licensed Practical Nurse on assigned shifts
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following facility protocols
• Perform timely patient assessments and monitor vital signs to identify changes in condition
• Document care clearly in the medical record to support continuity and quality
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to implement care plans
• Support patients and families through education, comfort, and effective communication
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active LPN license (current) or eligible for licensure in New Mexico
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — or willing to obtain prior to start
• Clinical experience in a comparable setting preferred (LPN/LVN experience a plus)
• Able to commit to a 14-week travel contract (Start Date: 2026-04-01, End Date: 2026-07-01)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and documentation best practices
• Comfortable performing patient assessments and basic nursing procedures
• Familiarity with infection control standards and patient safety protocols
• Good charting skills and the ability to learn electronic health record systems
• Strong observational skills and the ability to escalate changes in patient condition
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
