Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in delivering personalized treatment plans
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers and functional mobility support
• Monitor patient response and accurately document progress in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility strategies
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Maintain a safe treatment environment and follow infection control procedures
• Participate in required competency checks such as the Trinity Skills Checklist
• Ensure timely completion of license and certification verifications

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant licensure with the state of California
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and license/certification verification
• Current employer-required health screenings and immunizations (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap, 2-step PPD or IGRA and required drug screen)
• Comfortable working day-shift schedules and able to participate in one weekend-per-month on-call rotation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, mobility training and transfer techniques
• Proficient with patient documentation and progress reporting
• Knowledge of safety, infection control and patient handling best practices
• Ability to follow therapist-developed treatment plans and modify care appropriately
• Good interpersonal skills for patient and family education
