Shift Type: Daytime schedules (varied start times). Options include: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (day); Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (day); Alternative: Wednesday-Saturday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (four 10-hour shifts). Weekend coverage expected (one to 2+ weekend shift date coverages per month depending on primary schedule). Day shift.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess inpatient adults and geriatrics promptly and develop individualized treatment plans focused on recovery and safety.
• Deliver post-operative orthopedic and joint replacement rehabilitation to optimize mobility and outcomes.
• Provide skilled care for neurosurgical, neurological, cardiovascular (including CABG), vestibular and medically complex patients.
• Manage care for critical care and intubated patients with appropriate precautions and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Document thoroughly in EPIC EMR to ensure continuity of care and clear communication with the team.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, case management and surgical teams to support efficient discharge planning and rehab goals.
• Cover surgery schedule needs and adjust patient care priorities during joint replacement service coverage.

Qualifications

• Ohio physical therapy license required (active) — registry required and cannot be in process
• 2 years acute care experience preferred (explicitly preferred in job description)
• Experience with inpatient physical therapy, acute care, post-operative care and critical care patients
• Comfort treating orthopedic/joint replacement post-op patients and medically complex adults
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Flexible availability for occasional weekend date coverage and alternative shift patterns when needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Inpatient Physical Therapy and Acute Care clinical expertise
• Post-operative care for Orthopedics and Joint Replacement
• Care for Neurosurgical and Neurological diagnoses
• Cardiovascular care experience including working with CABG patients
• Vestibular assessment and intervention experience
• Experience managing medically complex and intubated patients in Critical Care
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record documentation
