Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement patient rehabilitation programs to improve mobility, function, and strength
• Evaluate and treat patients, creating and updating individualized care plans
• Complete accurate clinical documentation, evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries in the EMR
• Supervise PT Assistants and Aides to ensure high-quality, consistent patient care
• Communicate effectively with physicians, co-workers, and other providers to coordinate care
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic privacy policies at all times
• Support front office scheduling and follow-up to optimize patient flow and experience
• Apply ICD-10 coding and PT billing knowledge to support accurate service billing and documentation
• Make independent clinical decisions while involving the care team as needed
• Perform patient mobility assistance and safe transfers, including lifting and supporting patients as required

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy (required)
• Active Physical Therapist license in California, or plans to test in the near future
• Experience or interest in outpatient/rehabilitation settings is preferred
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and clinical documentation
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and PT billing procedures (Medicare, work-comp, private, auto, liens)
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and assist patients with transfers
• Strong communication skills and basic office computer proficiency (Word, internet, typing)
• Experience supervising PT Assistants and Aides is a plus
