Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in the cardiovascular lab with compassion and clinical excellence
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data continuously during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Assist physicians and the cardiovascular team during cardiac procedures and ensure patient safety
• Assess procedure room and equipment readiness, obtaining supplies and maintaining inventory
• Communicate patient condition clearly and continuously to physicians and the care team
• Document patient status and procedure-related information accurately and timely
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License (required)
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certification upon hire and maintained (required)
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area (required)
• Completion of required Prime exams and skills checklist (Prime Basic Pharmacology, Rhythm Interpretation, Core Competencies, Skills Checklist, Specialty Exam)
• Nursys verification as part of licensure checks
• Meet health clearance requirements including drug screen, TB testing, immunizations and fit testing as listed

Education

• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hemodynamic and physiologic monitoring during cardiovascular procedures
• Cardiovascular procedure support and familiarity with cath lab workflow
• Adult and geriatric patient care in procedural and critical care contexts
• Equipment readiness, troubleshooting basics, and inventory management
• Strong communication and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Rhythm interpretation and basic pharmacology knowledge relevant to cardiac care
