Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate Med-Surg nursing care to adult patients (18+), prioritizing safety and quality
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and manage patient treatments using Meditech EMR and Pyxis
• Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate per unit protocols (wound vacs, chest tubes, etc.)
• Float to surgical/pediatrics or transitional care units as needed, adapting quickly to different patient populations
• Participate in unit orientation and maintain professional documentation and communication

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii RN license required by the start of the assignment
• Minimum 2+ years Med-Surg or higher-level nursing experience
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Comfortable working with Meditech EMR and Pyxis systems
• Ability to work various shift lengths and float between units
• Professional nursing attire with closed-toe shoes

Knowledge & Skills

• Med-Surg clinical judgment and adult patient care
• Experience with Meditech electronic medical records
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication systems
• Comfort managing wound VACs and chest tube care
• Ability to float to surgical/pediatric and transitional care settings
• Strong communication, team collaboration, and time management
