Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality direct patient care for Med-Surg/Telemetry patients, keeping safety and comfort top of mind
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Assist with Video EEG setups and epilepsy-related care when needed
• Use equipment safely and effectively: Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, vital sign monitors, telemetry systems
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with charge nurses, RNs, PCTs, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and transitions
• Maintain patient ratios and prioritize tasks to deliver timely, compassionate care

Qualifications

• Current RN (Registered Nurse) credential — Med-Surg experience preferred
• BLS certification (required)
• Hospital experience is required — telemetry/med-surg experience strongly preferred
• 3+ years of nursing experience preferred (candidates with this will be considered first)
• Comfortable caring for patients with neurological needs and epilepsy care experience is a plus
• Ability to document in Meditech or willingness to learn quickly

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong Med-Surg and telemetry clinical skills
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Experience with Meditech EMR or similar documentation systems
• Safe patient handling experience (Hoyer lift) and use of bladder scanners
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment with 5:1 to 6:1 patient ratios
• Good communication, teamwork, and openness to feedback
