Roles & Responsibilities

• Support electrophysiology procedures by preparing the EP lab, equipment, and sterile field
• Monitor patients closely during procedures and intervene promptly using BLS/ACLS skills when needed
• Administer medications and assist with sedation and anesthesia coordination as directed
• Document procedure details, patient assessments, and post-procedure care accurately in Epic EHR
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure efficient patient flow
• Educate patients and families about procedural expectations, recovery, and follow-up care
• Maintain competency through Trinity specialty testing, checklists, and ongoing training

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license (license/certificate verification required)
• Electrophysiology (EP) experience required
• BLS required, ACLS required
• Familiarity with Epic EHR
• Completion of CPI training and Trinity Skills Checklist/Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing
• Up-to-date immunizations and health requirements: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, influenza vaccine, varicella, 2-step PPD or IGRA, fit test, physical/health statement, Trinity 10 panel drug screen, and color vision

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrophysiology procedures and EP lab workflow
• Proficient in patient monitoring, telemetry, and recognizing arrhythmias
• Skilled in sterile technique and procedural instrumentation
• Comfortable with Epic EHR documentation and clinical orders
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced procedural environment
• Ability to follow specialty-specific competency protocols and checklists
