Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality transthoracic (TTE) and transesophageal (TEE) echocardiograms with attention to diagnostic accuracy
• Conduct exercise and dobutamine stress echo studies safely and competently
• Administer contrast imaging and bubble studies according to protocol and patient needs
• Collaborate with physicians and cath lab teams across inpatient, outpatient and ER settings to support patient care
• Document exam findings clearly in the EMR (Athena, Meditech, PICOM) and communicate results to the care team
• Maintain equipment proficiency on Philips CX50, Philips EPIC, Siemens ACUSON SC2000 and Siemens Origin
• Provide compassionate patient education and ensure a positive patient experience during procedures
• Participate in on-call rotations, responding to evening/night/weekend requests when assigned

Qualifications

• RDCS, CVCCI or ARDMS credential required (please submit credential with application)
• AHA BLS certification required (AHA BLS skills sheet requested)
• Demonstrated experience with TTE, TEE, stress echo (exercise and dobutamine), contrast imaging and bubble studies
• Experience with Philips CX50, Philips EPIC, Siemens ACUSON SC2000 or Siemens Origin strongly preferred
• Comfortable working across inpatient hospital, outpatient clinic, ER and cath lab environments
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills and openness to feedback
• Left-handed sonographers and those with pediatric TTE experience are encouraged to apply (preferred)

Education

• RDCS or ARDMS credential (required)
• AHA BLS certification (required)
• Additional pediatric TTE training preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in echocardiography modalities: TTE, TEE, Stress Echo, Contrast and Bubble studies
• Proficient with Philips and Siemens ultrasound platforms listed in the job details
• Familiarity with EMRs: Athena, Meditech and PICOM for documentation and workflows
• Strong patient-care skills: positioning, safety, and compassionate communication
• Team collaboration, adaptability across clinical settings, and ability to respond on call
