Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide advanced, direct care to critically ill patients with thoughtful, evidence-based interventions
• Continuously monitor patient status and recognize subtle changes that require urgent action
• Perform comprehensive assessments and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team
• Administer medications and therapies safely while adhering to ICU protocols and ACLS/BLS standards
• Respond rapidly to emergencies, lead resuscitation efforts when needed, and follow TNCC/ACLS guidelines
• Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and families
• Support moderate complexity testing procedures and ensure specimen integrity per CAP requirements
• Mentor and collaborate with peers to maintain high standards of critical care practice

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission
• AHA BLS required
• AHA ACLS required (GSR ICU-CCU)
• TNCC required (GSR ICU-CCU)
• High school diploma or equivalent verification required (CAP requirement)
• PALS preferred
• Previous ICU experience preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (verification required by CAP)

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing and acute patient monitoring
• Advanced cardiac life support and basic life support proficiency
• Trauma-focused nursing knowledge (TNCC)
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with ICU monitoring equipment and documentation best practices
