Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility
• Provide compassionate, respectful care that preserves dignity and comfort
• Monitor residents and report changes in condition promptly to nursing staff
• Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the team
• Support a safe, clean environment and help with resident transfers and positioning
• Build rapport with residents and families to create a positive care experience

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire where required
• Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric settings a plus
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfort assisting with ADLs and mobility support
• Basic vital signs measurement and observation skills
• Good documentation and time-management habits
• Infection control practices and safe resident handling
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
