Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Support the clinical team by taking vitals, observing patient behavior, and reporting changes
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility support, and maintaining a clean environment
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with nursing and mental health staff
• Follow facility policies and safety protocols to maintain a secure therapeutic setting
• Engage patients respectfully to promote dignity and a positive care experience

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification or Medical Assistant certification required
• Experience working with mental health populations is preferred
• Ability to work the scheduled days and times (Tue/Thu/Fri, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to complete facility onboarding, background checks, and required training

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA or MA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Familiarity with mental health patient interaction and de-escalation techniques
• Accurate documentation and charting practices
• Infection control, safety protocols, and professional boundaries
• Collaborative teamwork and clear communication with multidisciplinary staff
