Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Monitor, record, and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Perform safe patient transfers, positioning, and ambulation support
• Assist with hygiene, feeding, toileting, and comfort measures with dignity
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility policies for patient care
• Support infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe patient environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required in NM or eligibility to obtain
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Basic patient care experience preferred; confident new CNAs who are eager to learn are welcome
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility immunization requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Competence in patient transfers, ADLs, and basic clinical support
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safety protocols
• Ability to document care accurately and follow care plans
• Good time management, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills
• Comfort working night shifts and responding to patient needs calmly
