Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Monitor residents' condition and report changes to nursing staff promptly
• Accurately document care, vital signs, and any resident concerns
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active GNA certification or completion of an approved GNA program (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working with geriatric population and dementia care approaches
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Dependable, punctual, and able to communicate effectively with residents and team members

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, assisting with ADLs, safe transfer techniques
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
• Knowledge of infection control and resident safety practices
• Good documentation habits and attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative care team
