Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging with accuracy and compassion to support clinical decisions
• Position patients and operate X-ray equipment while adhering to radiation safety protocols
• Ensure clear, accurate documentation of imaging procedures and patient records
• Collaborate with facility healthcare and security staff to deliver safe, professional patient care in a correctional setting
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, escalating issues as needed to keep services running
• Participate in the provided 2-week training to learn site-specific workflows and expectations

Qualifications

• Current RADT (Radiologic Technologist) credential or equivalent certification
• Comfortable working Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, and completing an initial 2-week training
• Experience performing diagnostic radiography in a clinical setting preferred
• Ability to follow facility security and patient care protocols while working in a correctional healthcare environment
• Strong communication and patient-handling skills

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent clinical training (typical for RADT roles)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in diagnostic X-ray techniques, patient positioning, and image acquisition
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and best practices
• Familiarity with maintaining imaging equipment and basic troubleshooting
• Accurate clinical documentation and record-keeping skills
• Ability to work respectfully and professionally within a correctional facility team
