Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized OT treatment plans
• Implement evidence-based interventions to improve ADLs, mobility, and independence
• Document progress accurately and timely in the facility’s charting system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies, home programs, and community resources
• Monitor outcomes and adjust treatment plans to ensure measurable progress
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety protocols, and state regulations

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) — Maryland license required or ability to obtain prior to start
• Active national OT registration/certification (OTR) preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification required or obtainable prior to start
• Experience in outpatient/rehab or similar clinical settings preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; professional and dependable

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or related field; OTD or advanced degree a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL training, adaptive equipment recommendations, and therapeutic activities
• Knowledge of splinting, positioning, and mobility aid prescriptions
• Familiarity with outcome measurement tools and progress tracking
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and timely documentation
• Ability to educate patients and caregivers clearly and compassionately
