Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support safe transfers and mobility to prevent falls and promote independence
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Document care activities accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
• Help create a warm, respectful environment that preserves dignity and comfort

Qualifications

• GNA certification or equivalent required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift
• Strong communication skills and a patient, respectful demeanor
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• GNA certification or completion of an approved nursing assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of geriatric care and common age-related conditions
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Basic vital signs and observational skills
• Accurate documentation and reporting practices
• Teamwork, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills
