Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (varies), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents including bathing, dressing, and toileting
Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
Monitor and report changes in residents condition to nursing staff promptly
Support mealtime and feeding assistance with dignity and patience
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

GNA certification (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Comfortable working overnight shifts and adapting to per diem scheduling
Strong communication and teamwork skills; a positive attitude goes a long way
Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred

Education

GNA certification or equivalent
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic geriatric care and activities of daily living assistance
Ability to follow care plans, safety protocols, and infection control practices
Skill in safe resident handling and transfer techniques
Good observation and documentation skills to report resident changes
Compassion, patience, and strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered care
