Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide attentive, compassionate care to elderly residents, helping with daily living activities
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity and independence
Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to the nursing team
Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment
Communicate warmly and clearly with residents and families to build trust
Document care in a timely and accurate manner and participate in team care planning

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
Comfortable working with geriatric populations and a patient, respectful demeanor
Background check and any facility-required screenings completed
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established care plans
Previous long-term care or nursing assistant experience preferred but not required

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant training program

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and resident-centered care
Ability to take vital signs and recognize changes in condition
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and team members
Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling practices
Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
