Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations (CT and X-ray) for diagnostic interpretation with professionalism and attention to patient safety
• Operate CT scanners and X-ray equipment, set up and run automatic injectors, and adjust contrast per patient age
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging files, ensuring quality and confidentiality
• Participate in and assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance and daily/weekly QC tasks
• Assist with interventional procedures, sterile technique, and venipuncture as needed
• Provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan — from newborns to geriatric patients
• Support tele-radiology transmission and consult with referring physicians for optimal imaging protocols
• Help with supply inventory, ordering, and general department upkeep; step into supervisory duties in the absence of a manager

Qualifications

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency to be achieved within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality (CT/X-ray)
• Willingness to rotate shifts and take on-call assignments (reporting within 20 minutes)
• Comfort working with patients of all ages and cultural backgrounds
• Experience or willingness to cross-train in additional modalities (MRI, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine) is a plus

Education

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• Additional ARRT modality certifications (CT, MR, MG, NM) or ARDMS categories preferred

• CT operation and CT protocols
• Diagnostic radiography/X-ray techniques
• Radiation protection and safety principles
• Contrast media administration and automatic injector use
• Sterile technique and assistance with interventional procedures
• Tele-radiology transmission and image quality assurance
• Infection control and standard precautions
• Patient transfer, positioning, and age-specific imaging adjustments
