Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures
• Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort throughout visits
• Take dental X-rays and impressions with precision and care
• Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and equipment for each procedure
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care to promote long-term health
• Maintain accurate patient records and schedule appointments efficiently
• Help with fitting and adjusting braces, aligners, and other orthodontic appliances

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or training (preferred)
• Experience in orthodontic assisting is a big plus
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with patients
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
• Radiography certification is a valuable asset

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable using dental software such as Denticon
• Understanding of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Excellent patient care and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
