Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in residents' condition to the nursing team
- Assist with safe transfers, positioning, bathing, feeding, and toileting
- Support a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Document care activities accurately and timely per facility standards
- Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous hands-on patient care experience is a plus
- Ability to pass facility background checks and required screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and infection control
- Comfort with lifting and transferring patients safely
- Skill in observing and reporting clinical changes
- Ability to follow care plans and facility policies
- Good interpersonal skills and patience when working with elders
