Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document appropriately
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the care team promptly
- Assist with ADLs and ensure patient comfort and dignity
- Follow established infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to deliver coordinated care
- Complete timely and accurate EMR documentation and shift handoffs
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (eligible or active in North Carolina preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willing to obtain
- Previous practical nursing experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
- Ability to work 12+ hour day shifts and flexible per diem schedule
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program or equivalent vocational training
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of medication administration and documentation best practices
- Comfortable with wound care, ADL assistance, and patient assessments
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
- Good clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize in a busy setting
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients and interdisciplinary teams
