Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality hands-on nursing care to assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the team
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation in the medical record
• Perform wound care, catheter care, and other practical nursing procedures as indicated
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Follow infection control and patient safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential — required
• Active authorization to practice in North Carolina (or ability to obtain) — required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required or obtainable upon hire
• Previous LPN clinical experience preferred, especially in acute or long-term care settings
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of medication administration, documentation, and basic nursing procedures
• Skill in taking and interpreting vital signs and patient assessments
• Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety standards
• Ability to use electronic medical records and charting systems
• Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment and prioritizing tasks
