Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, compassionate direct patient care during overnight shifts
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to licensed nursing staff
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident interactions
- Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure a comfortable, dignified environment
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Class: CNA)
- Comfort and availability to work overnight per diem shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
- Ability to meet facility onboarding requirements, including background check and health screenings
Education
- CNA certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient hygiene and safe transfer techniques
- Basic observation and reporting of resident status
- Reliable documentation practices and attention to detail
- Teamwork and clear communication with nurses and support staff
- Infection prevention and standard safety practices
