Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI exams using GE 1.5T equipment to produce diagnostic images
- Prepare and position patients safely and comfortably, explaining procedures clearly
- Follow imaging protocols and optimize sequences to ensure excellent image quality
- Monitor patients during scans and respond appropriately to high-acuity situations
- Document exams accurately in Meditech and maintain clear communication with the care team
- Perform routine equipment checks and collaborate on quality control tasks
Qualifications
- ARRT (MR) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
- Experience operating GE 1.5T systems and working in a high-volume, single-magnet environment
- Familiarity with Meditech or similar documentation systems preferred
- Comfort managing high-acuity patients and working independently in a fast-paced setting
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety and patient screening procedures
- Proficiency with MRI protocols, pulse sequences, and image optimization
- Skill in patient positioning, immobilization, and comfort measures
- Ability to troubleshoot basic scanner issues and perform routine QC
- Effective communication and teamwork with radiologists and nursing staff
- Electronic charting experience (Meditech) and accurate documentation habits
