Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Day shift (specific days to be scheduled)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide attentive personal care to residents, including bathing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility support while following facility protocols
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report observations to nursing staff
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure dietary needs and preferences are respected
- Deliver compassionate companionship and meaningful engagement to improve quality of life
- Maintain accurate documentation of care tasks and resident interactions
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification or equivalent as required by Maryland
- Comfortable providing hands-on resident care in a long-term care setting
- Current CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Prior experience in geriatric care or long-term care settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved GNA program or state-required training
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic resident care principles and infection control
- Skillful in safe resident handling and fall prevention techniques
- Familiarity with charting daily care activities and reporting changes
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with older adults
- Time management to prioritize resident needs during shift
