Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and compassion
Provide safe, attentive bedside care during the night shift and monitor residents throughout your shift
Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
Document care provided and resident responses accurately and timely
Support mealtimes and assist with evening routines to promote resident comfort
Work collaboratively with the care team to create a calm, restful night environment

Qualifications

Class listed as GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) — appropriate certification or classification required
Comfortable and experienced working the 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM night shift
Strong communication skills and ability to follow care plans and directions
Ability to pass facility-required background check and any onboarding screenings
Current basic healthcare compliance items as required by the facility (e.g., immunizations) per employer policy

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Comfort with basic resident care and assisting with activities of daily living
Knowledge of resident safety practices and infection control basics
Basic documentation skills and attention to detail during charting
Compassionate bedside manner and ability to promote a restful night environment
Team-oriented attitude and dependable attendance for scheduled shifts
