Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) with dignity and empathy
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support safe mobility and transfer techniques to reduce fall risk
- Maintain clear, timely documentation of patient care and observations
- Communicate effectively with nurses and the care team to coordinate patient needs
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
- Follow care plans and infection control protocols to protect patients and staff
- Act as a compassionate patient advocate, noticing and reporting any changes
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
- Current listing on the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry or eligibility to list
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable performing hands-on patient care and lifting/assisting as needed
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently on per diem shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and infection control practices
- Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Ability to follow care plans and document patient interactions
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients and families
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Basic knowledge of patient mobility and safe transfer techniques
