Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem schedule, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening) — days vary based on staffing needs

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, transfers and ambulation safely and respectfully
Take and record vital signs, report changes in condition to the nursing team
Document care accurately and timely, keeping patient records up to date
Support infection prevention practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents and their families to promote dignity and comfort
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Completion of an approved CNA training program
Willingness to work per diem evening shifts (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements (immunizations, TB screening)
Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
Reliable transportation to Gettysburg Center

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of approved CNA training program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on resident care and assistance with ADLs
Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
Knowledge of infection control and safe transfer techniques
Good documentation and basic charting skills
Teamwork, time management, and strong bedside manner
