Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents: assist with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and ambulation to reduce fall risk
• Help create a warm, dignified environment by offering emotional support and respectful care
• Document observations and care provided in the resident chart in a timely manner
• Collaborate with nurses and other care team members to follow care plans and ensure continuity
• Maintain a clean, safe room environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate clearly with residents' families and the care team about resident needs and changes

Qualifications

• Current State CNA certification (required)
• CPR/BLS certification (preferred or able to obtain)
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Comfortable performing physical tasks associated with resident care
• Compassionate communicator who treats residents with dignity and respect
• Previous CNA experience preferred but new grads with certification are welcome

Education

• State-certified CNA (required)
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong fundamentals in patient care and ADLs (bathing, feeding, transfers)
• Basic vital sign measurement and documentation skills
• Familiarity with charting and basic electronic medical record entries
• Good infection control and safety awareness
• Team-oriented communication and the ability to follow care plans
• Reliable time management and the ability to handle a fast-paced shift
