Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility, and toileting while preserving dignity
• Measure and record vital signs and report meaningful changes to the nursing team
• Document care accurately and timely in the resident record
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Communicate clearly with nurses, families, and other team members to create cohesive care plans
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — Pennsylvania certification preferred
• Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening timeframe on a per-diem basis
• Basic patient care experience preferred; passion for resident-centered care is essential
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
• Up-to-date immunizations as required by the facility
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and a warm bedside manner
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Ability to assist with ADLs and safe patient handling
• Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
• Team-player mindset and clear communication with clinical staff
