Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe care environment
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Help create a warm, dignified experience for every resident through attentive care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Active state certification in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain it
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with strong communication skills
• Ability to pass required background and health screenings as per facility policy
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus but not mandatory

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in resident care basics: bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and changes in condition
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Ability to follow care plans and effectively communicate observations
• Team-focused mindset with time management and prioritization skills
• Basic familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
