Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Assist with mobility, safe transfers, and fall prevention to keep residents safe
- Take and accurately record vital signs and share changes with the nursing team
- Support meal assistance and monitor nutritional needs
- Document resident observations and interventions clearly and timely
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
- Communicate with residents and families with empathy and professionalism
- Collaborate with nurses and care team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
- Active BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
- Infection prevention and safe handling procedures
- Safe resident transfer and ambulation techniques
- Clear, timely charting and communication with nursing staff
- Empathy, patience, and excellent teamwork skills
