Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem / As-needed, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities — bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility, with dignity and compassion
Take and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
Practice infection control and follow facility policies to keep everyone safe
Communicate clearly and warmly with residents, families, and the care team to enhance resident well-being

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Active CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfort with evening/evening-per-diem shifts and flexible scheduling
Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-player mindset
Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or similar settings is a plus

Education

Completion of a state-approved CNA training program or equivalent
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Practical resident care skills and basic clinical observation
Familiarity with ADL assistance and safe transfer techniques
Basic charting and documentation skills
Understanding of infection prevention and patient safety practices
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff
