Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Triage patients efficiently and prioritize care in a fast-paced ED environment
• Administer medications, start IVs, and manage critical interventions per protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to deliver timely patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and professionally
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Participate in unit-based safety and quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state-specific or compact) required — please have documentation ready
• Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience (Emergency Department experience strongly preferred)
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred or obtained promptly upon hire
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in high-acuity situations
• Strong clinical assessment skills and effective communication with patients and team members

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage principles and emergency assessment skills
• IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency procedures
• Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients and prioritize effectively
• Familiarity with common ED equipment and documentation systems
• Team collaboration, critical thinking, and calm decision-making under pressure
