Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to residents according to care plans and facility policies
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately within LPN scope of practice
• Monitor and document vital signs, patient status changes, and progress notes clearly
• Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
• Communicate effectively with residents and families to promote comfort and understanding
• Support infection control, safety protocols, and high standards of clinical documentation

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico or compact/multi-state equivalent where applicable
• Demonstrated ability to work independently during overnight shifts and to triage patient needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with clinical staff and families
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or able to obtain promptly where required
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration, dosage calculations, and documentation
• Proficiency in taking and interpreting vital signs and recognizing changes in condition
• Comfortable using electronic health records and completing accurate clinical notes
• Skilled at time management, prioritization, and working independently during night shifts
• Empathetic patient-centered communication and strong teamwork orientation
